I think the opening track of this album is a recording of someone getting murdered. The way the music and screams are structured is so incredibly horrifying I don't think I've heard anything as bone chilling as this in a long time.
Pa Vesh En's music is cold, dark, and utterly merciless. It is physically painful to listen to. It is so incredibly raw that it assault your ears. The distortion is so ingrained into the fabric of the music that it is incredibly difficult to pick out most if not all that is going on... and that is entirely the appeal of this album.
Maniac Manifest is a fantastic album title. This feels like it was created by a maniac who lives only to bring suffering to other people. It's so incredibly focused on this one facet that everything else falls to the wayside. This is the audio manifestation of pure psychological horror... a psychotic break. God I love it.
This is going to have to fall into one of those albums that needs to be heard in order to truly understand what is going on. Maniac Manifest is incredibly raw and yet focused and refined black metal. This is not the rawest music I've ever heard... but it is one of the very few that uses the incredibly poor production as a weapon to enhance the message that the music creates.
