Its easy to get completely lost in the business of life. Its even easier to forget to take time for ourselves in a world that demands our attention at every step. Albums like Love Me Tender help remind us that we need to take a step back. Let ourselves recoup and recover.
The music is exceptionally simple. If warmth had a sound it would likely sound something like this. Simple ambient pads with some uncomplex melodies mixed in with the absolute focus on just being.
A lot of good droning ambient has a sense of meditative properties to it. Love Me Tender excels in this aspect. The music is so calm and peaceful that its easy to let the music wash over you and just be.
This is the only album I've heard from Ai Yamamoto. Based on the experience I've had with this one though I'm going to be seeking out more.
