Entry 177 - Cosmic Void Ritual - Grotesque Infections of Interplanetary Divide

 

Ever wonder what sloppy black metal would sound like if it was death metal? Look no further, you have found it.

Cosmic Void Ritual plays simple, minimalist, primitive... you name it, death metal. The production rivals that of the early black metal scene as well. This stuff is r a w. Stuff to make your ears bleed.

Now that I'm thinking about it this could probably qualify as war metal. It's uncompromising in the same way that Blasphemy or Sadistik Execution are, but even rawer production values.

Not sure what I think of this so far. If I ever feel like I need to listen to some death metal that was recorded in a basement on a four track I now have my go to album. Unless I have that very specific need though I don't see this one getting played that much.
