Entry 250 - Permanent//Zeimp - Give me a Raison

This album is a vibe. The beats and music just f l o w. It has a soul, and it wants to impart that upon me, the listener.

As far as the music itself goes, its very straight forward. Find the funkiest groove you can, slow it down to about 90 bpm and start bobbing your head. On top of that you have some pretty dope instrumentation and melodies, honestly if I didn't know that this was plunder-phonics I would never have guessed.

The album is incredibly inviting and accessible. Pour a glass of your favorite drink, kick up your feet and stay a while and listen. It's that kind of vibe... especially when a delayed trumpet or acoustic guitar comes on over the grooves... oh mama that's good.

This is the second album I've gotten from Permanent//Zeimp, and while Loveless edges this one out in terms of quality, Give ma a Raison has a character all it's own. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go back to jamming.
