I had forgotten so much about this album. I forgot that the first instrumental is one of my least favorite Porcupine Tree songs... it is just completely uninteresting to me.
I also forgot how good the rest of the album is. There is such a delicate nature to this album that is just not in other Porcupine Tree albums that makes it stand out in an extremely positive way.
So much of the music has this quiet quality to it, making it perfect for a rainy evening or enjoying your favorite beverage while the record spins.
After revisiting the album I think that this may be one of their strongest records, second to only In Abstentia. There is so much to love here... I just wish I hadn't taken such a long time to revisit it.
