The music of Fief needs no introduction, this is one of the elite composers within the realm of dungeon synth. All of the five albums within the Fief project sound very similar with small differences between them.
III offers a slightly more mournful tone than the first two albums. By no means is this a dirge, but more of a longing. The music calls out for us to remember those times of our youth and our friends long forgotten. Let us do a toast in their honor.
All things considered, Fief offers a consistent and unique approach to the genre that is going to be hard for anyone else to match. The music is so simple yet elegant at the same time. It never over stays its welcome, and it is always a joy when the record is placed on the turntable.
