It's nearly impossible to get into dungeon synth on any level these days and not at least hear of Erang. The dude has been a key figure in the resurgence the past 10-15 years and is prolific as all get out.
Another World, Another Time feels a bit like a "best of" style album. There are many styles present here, quite a few different types of arrangements as well as instrumentation used. All of it is well done.
Some of these tracks make me feel like I'm walking through a forest at night, the light of the moon cascading down. Others remind me of sitting by an open fire, sharing a meal with friends and family. Others still give me a sense of meditative pondering as we search inwards for answers and enlightenment.
No matter the style present two things remain constant: it is all performed exclusively on keyboards and every single track on here is enjoyable - there isn't a single one that I would skip.
Unlike many other dungeon synth albums I don't get the sense of an overarching theme with Another World, Another Time. Rather I get glimpses into small short stories that are told through the eyes and music of Erang.
