I have many fond memory of bouncing around on a pogo stick/cane in my young days playing this game. The soundtrack is short but it stuck with me for many years. That says something - I've mentioned before that generally I'm not a fan of 8 bit music... this is one glaring exception to that generality.
I remember being stuck in some of the levels for quite a long time before finally finding the correct way to get to the boss. I loved how the game drew in so many characters from the show - even the underground king that only showed up in one or two episodes.
While each of the songs isn't longer than a few minutes, each of them fit their respective levels nearly perfectly. The Amazon has a joyful upbeat tune, Transylvania is spooky, and the Moon has this sci-fi feel and that incredible main melody. All with an 8 bit sound chip... I love it.
The whole soundtrack is super short, it barely takes up half of the first side of the LP. But holy moly does it make the most of the time its allotted.
