This album combines unique vocalizations and variations on a theme to an extreme degree. The vocals... if you can call them that, are pitch shifted at least an octave higher than they would naturally be and they are phased in and out over separate melodies. The melodies start simple and then slowly add layer after layer of vocals and additional instrumentation until you almost have a cacophony going on towards the end of these tracks.
If this sounds like a mess its because it is. The whole thing is just a hode podge of happiness and cuteness. I don't think I can emphasize enough just how stinkin happy this whole album is. Everything radiates joy, pure unadulterated joy.
I could go on and on about the music in Loco Roco, but it would all just be redundant. This album is stupidly happy, and just a bit weird. If that sounds like its worth checking out, do so... there is nothing quite like this anywhere else.
