Telepath is an artist I
have a very mixed relationship with. It's actually kind of amusing. I
have almost no problems getting into noise based records, records with
complex song structures that are impossible to determine at first
glance, or highly experimental dribble. Telepath remains inaccessible to
me.
I have listened to this album along with several others
dozens of times, and this one in particular remains and enigma. Each of
the four sides represents a very different side to the album, its almost
as if its four EP's wrapped into one bigger package. Ranging from
darker tones on the first side to... "sparkly...?" slushwave on the
second side (there really is no better way to describe this).
Ultimately
I bought this album because its a challenging listen to me. It may very
well become one of my favorites over time, as it stands currently I
really don't know if I like this or not. Judging from past experiences
though that is a very good sign.
