Entry 046 - Super Mario Brothers 3

 

It's likely that there will be a lot more VGM featured on here for a while. My son and I have a tradition that every morning we play a video game record before school starts. School started today, we played SMB3.

I originally had this long story of how I first played this game and how much it meant to me, but really this is more about how gaming is passed from generation to generation at this point. The fact that my son enjoys the same games that I did when I was a kid is a strong bonding point for us.

Listening to the record it brings back fun memories for both of us as we remember the different lands - screw sand land and that angry sun, always kills me. It's honestly something I never hope ends and the fact that my offspring is taking an interest in both records and games at the same time... there's just nothing better.
