Style: Video game music, dark ambient
Primary Emotions/Themes: Vengeance is a cruel master.
Thoughts: I have not played the second Dishonored game, I've only heard the music to it. I'm not sure what it's about, but the music is largely an expansion of the first games soundtrack.
I loved the combination of ambience and melody that the first game had, the second game has a similar approach but it's more towards the ambient side of things for a majority of the soundtrack. The further you get into it though the more melody gets sprinkled in, like a trail of morsels leading us to the ultimate goal.
Dishonored 2's soundtrack is not as good as the first games. It drags on for just a bit too long to stand on it's own like the first one did. That said when this thing starts going it's highly enjoyable, those moments are just too few and far between.
