Style: Dungeon synth, fantasy synth
Thoughts: There are few artists who have carved out a sound for themselves in any genre - fewer still those within the dungeon synth/fantasy synth realm. One of the few minstrels that has managed this feet is Malfet.
The Snaking Path is the debut record from this mysterious bard and immediately they have managed to create a sound that is inherently their own. These subtle melodies, played as if they were observed from a church pew from a gothic cathedral have an airy quality to them... nay an ethereal quality.
These six compositions bear the weight of thrice their kindred. They bring joy, happiness, sorrow, contemplation, but most of all they harken forth the coming of the spirit of the forest. A testament to what nature can bring in the abscise of man. The peace that comes from a quiet meadow on a spring morning. The dew from the night still shimmers upon the ground. The wind whispers through the leaves and grass as if muttering the quietest of assurances. This is the realm of Malfet.
The light cascading through a stained glass window. The echoes of a chapel that spent many a generation to complete. A structure more mighty than anything seen before. A place of worship like none other. This, this is the realm of Malfet.
Malfet brings joy where there was none. Malfet brings awe to those who need meaning. Malfet is a force of nature. Malfet is the quiet whisper in the night. The Snaking Path is their testament to mankind, nay the world. Malfet is simply, Malfet.
