Style: video game music
Primary Emotions/Themes: Video game music about puppers with fur hats and accordions
Thoughts: I have never played this game, I only know that I really enjoy the music in it. The basics of the sound revolve around 8 and 16 bit music combined with Russian melodies and instruments... primarily the accordion.
There is nothing overly complex about this album. It's simple melodies done in a minor key that resembles traditional Russian melodies... and I truly love it. Outside of Tetris I can't say that I've ever heard another soundtrack that resembles the Russian culture in such a playful way. Is it accurate? Probably not, but it's fun as hell.
This isn't an album I revisit a lot, but every time I put it on it's super fun to listen to. The kind of thing you put on to try and turn a crappy day around or have some playful music in the background while working. Either way it's a nice addition to the colleciton.
