Style: slushwave
Primary Emotions/Themes: long weaving compositions that take you places without even realizing it
Thoughts: This may very well be the last Telepath album I ever get. Between this and the other five that I have I feel like I have a very complete view on their discography. Are there more records to be had out there? Sure. Do I need them? No, I don't think I do.
Telepath is one of the foremost producers in the slushwave genre. Slow (and slushy) ever evolving compositions that revolve around a simple concept, but in Telepath's case every time the song revisits the concept it's slightly different. Not so different that you can tell a huge change has occurred, but if you listen to the start of the sometimes 20+ minute songs vs the end it's very obvious that the whole thing has changed greatly.
For the longest time slushwave... specifically Telepath was not my thing. I'm not sure what broke me through, but eventually something clicked and I was able to enjoy these long form songs for what they are. It's not something that I listen to actively most of the time, but it's just about the perfect background music for when I'm doing almost anything.
