Style: Video game music
Primary Emotions/Themes: The freezing cold and slow pace of winter is exemplified in these tracks
Thoughts: I was never really able to get into Stardew Valley that much. The whole Harvest Moon thing is not my typical kind of game. Regardless I picked up the boxed set years ago and hardly ever listened to the music. I need to fix that so today these records are hitting the turntable.
Each record revolves around one of the four seasons, with the first being winter. Every song on this record feels like it belongs in winter. I can see the snow flakes falling down when the piano plays. I can feel the frost on my face as the synths slowly progress their melodies.
The whole record embraces the cold yet cozy feel of winter. The songs are all slow, never having a hectic pace. It's the middle of winter, it's cold, there's nothing better to do than to sit in your house by a fire and read. Nothing. We just wait it out till spring.
